About Our Firm

Eric M. Berman, P.C., is recognized as one of the premier law firms specializing in creditors' rights and the collection of commercial and consumer debt. We provide collection and legal services to banks and businesses requiring assistance to protect their interests, improve their cash flow and raise their bottom line.

Our services extend far beyond those provided by typical collection law firms. We represent clients at all stages of collections and litigation, from the initial demand letter through arbitration, appeals and Federal Trade Commission hearings. We assist our clients with FDCPA and GLBA compliance and defend them whenever necessary. We provide answers to their questions and solutions to their problems.

We recover commercial and consumer debt including delinquencies on credit cards, loans, over-draft checking accounts, UCC and financial instruments; arrears resulting from the breach of retail installment contracts, automobile, equipment and real estate lease agreements; insurance overpayments and subrogation accounts; and judgments obtained by other law firms. Our practices are tailored to our clients' needs and are carried out in strict accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

Our trained staff of attorneys and collectors combined with our specially designed computer systems enable us to successfully process large volumes of accounts while we provide highly individualized services.

We are members of the American Alliance of Creditor Attorneys, American Bar Association, American Collectors Association - Member Attorney Program, American Health Lawyers Association, Commercial Law League of America, the Columbia List, Debt Buyer's Association, the General Bar, the National List and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys.
