Dr. Eric M. Berman, Esq.
Eric is the Chief Executive Officer of the firm. His law degree is from St. John's University School of Law and his Masters and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees are from New York University. He is President of the Commercial Lawyers Conference of New York. He is also a Director of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and co-chairs its Government Affairs Committee. He has served on the Creditors' Rights Committee of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association and as a Commercial Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. Eric has been a Panelist or Speaker at conferences held by the American Collector’s Association, Commercial Law League of America, Debt Buyer's Association, National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and Thomson Media, and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hofstra University. He has written a column on business law and his articles on "Meaningful Attorney Involvement" have appeared in the New York Law Journal and the DePaul Business and Commercial Law Journal. He has testified and submitted White Papers on behalf of the Collection Industry at Roundtables and Hearings held by the Federal Trade Commission, the Legislatures of the States of New York and New Jersey, the New York City Council and New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. Eric is admitted to the practice of law in the States of New York and Pennsylvania, the Federal District Courts in New York and Pennsylvania, the Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mark E. Berman
Mark E. Berman is the Chief Financial Officer of the
firm. A graduate of Hofstra
University, Mark
has more than twenty-five years of senior financial and operations
management experience as Chief Financial Officer of Rathe Productions,
Inc., and Vice President - Finance and Treasurer at Grant Industries Incorporated.
He has managed all phases of financial and administrative operations
including public offerings, warrant exchanges and convertible debenture
offerings, and is in charge of all financial and non-collections
operations of the firm.

Ellen M. Calabrese, Esq.
Ellen is the firm's attorney in charge of
administration and serves as our Corporate Privacy Officer. She
graduated from Empire State College with a major in Community and Human
Services and received her Juris Doctor from Touro College

Center. Her
responsibilities include compliance issues and practices oversight.

Robert M. Kline,
Esq.
Rob is the attorney in charge
of the firm’s Pennsylvania
litigation. He is an Honors graduate of Drexel University
with a B.S. in Business Administration and received his Juris Doctor from
the Temple University School of Law. He served as a law clerk for
several Federal and Pennsylvania judges
and is admitted to the practice of law in the States of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and
the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Andre Wirkmaa, Esq.
Andre is the attorney in charge of the firm's New Jersey
litigation. He is a graduate of Fairleigh
Dickinson University
and New York Law School,
and is admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey
and New York.
Andre is a frequent lecturer on collection law and related issues for the
Bergen County and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
Edward E. Gilbert, Esq.
Ed is Of Counsel to the firm and is in charge of the
firm’s South Carolina
litigation. His B.A. in Theatre Arts is from Davis
and Elkins College
and his Juris Doctor with Honors is from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ed was a member of the Civil Litigation Committee and served as Chairman
of the Activities Committee for the Westmoreland County Bar Association,
which selected him as Pro Bono Attorney of the year in 1994-1995.
He is admitted to the practice of law in the States of Pennsylvania and South Carolina and
the Federal District Courts located in those States.

Roger Burmeister
Roger is the firm’s New York Collection
Manager. He graduated from the City College of New York with a B.A.
in History. His career in credit and collections began at Lord
& Taylor as a collector and continued through numerous management positions
in the credit granting, authorizations and collections department.
Prior to joining us, he was the Collections and Recoveries Manager for
Littman Jewelers. In 1995, he was awarded the Dale Carnegie Highest
Award for Achievement. Roger is responsible for the overall
supervision of the New York
collection staff, serves as chief client liaison, and is in charge of all
non-financial client reporting.

Marc L. Steger
Marc is the firm’s Information Technology
Manager. His B.A. in Philosophy is from Washington University.
Marc and his staff maintain the firm’s computer systems, facilitate the
bi-directional flow of data to and from clients, and oversee inter-office
communication systems.

Mary Gartelman
Mary is the firm’s Chief Litigation Paralegal.
She works directly with the firm’s attorneys to generate legal process
from summons and complaints to garnishments. She also serves as
court liaison, is responsible for disbursement billing and supervises the
paralegal staff.
